IGNrando’ is a collaborative platform that allows users to share routes and points of interest (POIs) for outdoor activities in France.
Extensive data selection:
- Tens of thousands of routes and POIs covering all of Metropolitan and Overseas France.
- Easily filter routes based on activity, difficulty level, and distance to find options near you or in specific locations.
- Save and download your favorite routes or POIs for offline access.
Maps from IGN & OSM:
- Choose from a wide range of maps for France, including IGN maps of various scales, IGN Top25 topo maps, IGN Scan Express topo maps, ICAO aeronautical maps, OpenStreetMap Outdoors map, IGN Aerial photos, slopes maps for winter activities, and IGN Roads & paths showing the road and path network of France.
GPS guidance during your activities:
- Keep track of your altitude with the altitude graph.
- Receive alerts if you deviate from the route.
- Get notifications for upcoming POIs or route information points (coming soon).
GPS tracking & data creation:
- Record your own routes using GPS tracking.
- Create routes on-device quickly with the automatic routing tool that follows roads and paths (online only with subscription).
- Create custom POIs.
- Sync your data on the ignrando.fr website.
Offline usability:
- Download routes and POIs on your device for offline use at no cost.
- Access maps offline with a subscription.
- Pro tip: To preserve battery life, use the app in Airplane Mode or disable Mobile Data. Location Services (GPS) will still be active.

- Enjoy full access to all maps and unlimited downloads for offline use.
- Create routes manually using the automatic routing tool.
